The day can be tailored to meet your requirements. If there is a particular aspect of Roman civilization you would like to focus on we have the flexibility to do this.
Throughout the workshop, the children will learn about many aspects of Roman life. This can include:
Students will have the chance to see and handle a wide range of Roman artifacts, including clothing, pottery, coins, writing implements, tools and other everyday objects. Through hands-on activities, they’ll gain a practical understanding of life in Roman times, bringing history to life in a fun, memorable way. Encouraging curiosity and a love for history in your students.
Here is an example of how the day might run. This includes an age appropriate, fact packed and engaging talk for teachers who want their children to enjoy lots of interesting information and scope to ask questions:
8.00 am. Arrive, Sign in, Unload and set up.
09.15 am. Slide Show and talk covering a theme of your choosing (see above).
10.15 am Morning break.
10.30 am - 11.15 am. Guess the object. Learn interesting facts about the Romans by exploring a range of artifacts.
11.15 am - 12.00 Noon. Roman Army weapons and equipment.

09.15 - 10.30 Group 1 Artifacts with Ron. Group 2 Teacher lead activities.
10.30 - 10.45 am. Morning break.

12.00 - 1.15 Lunch.
1.15 - 1.45 pm. Group 1 Roman Army weapons and equipment. Group 2 Teacher lead activities.
1.45 - 2.30 pm. Group 2 Roman Army weapons and equipment. Group 1 Teacher lead activities.
2.30 pm. Fun quiz based on the day's learning.

The above is ideal for Year 3 age group.
