Pirate Day is an exciting and educational experience designed especially for younger children. Rascally Ron—also known as Pirate Ron—quickly has the children laughing, thinking, asking questions and joining in.
Children explore the difference between pirate fact and fiction while developing their understanding of history and geography. The presentation is age appropriate, accessible to different ability levels and can be adapted to your classes.
Suitable for: Reception, Year 1 and Year 2. The day can also be adapted for Nursery, Year 3 or Year 4 by prior arrangement.

What teachers need to know
How many children can take part?
Two classes are easily accommodated and larger groups are possible. Tell us your numbers when enquiring and we will suggest the best format.
Do you need the school hall?
Not necessarily. We can work in a sufficiently large classroom, although the hall is useful for larger groups and the puppet show.
What does the school need to provide?
We bring the presentation, theatre and activity materials. The school normally supplies basic classroom items such as scissors, pencils, crayons, newspaper and rubbish bags. Full details are sent before the visit.
Can other classes watch the puppet show?
Yes. Other classes can usually join the audience for the show at no additional charge, subject to available space and the agreed timetable.
Which areas do you cover?
We are based in Richmond, North Yorkshire, and travel throughout England where the booking is practical. Your quotation will clearly include any travel costs.
